Þegar ég sá 28 Days Later… fyrst var það ein versta mynd sem ég hafði séð. Þá var ég tólf ára.
Hatur mitt á þessum leikstjóra, Danny Boyle, var ólýsanlegt. Ekki það að ég spáði mikið í hvað hann sendi frá sér, en eftir að ég fór að pæla í kvikmyndum og kynna mér leikstjóra, leikara o.þ.h. kom myndin Sunshine út. Mér leist ekkert smá vel á trailerinn og “IMDb-aði” myndina. Þá sé ég hvaða fífl leikstýði henni og varð neikvæður varðandi hana en lét slag engu að síður standa og fór á hana. Því sé ég alls ekki eftir. Myndin er ein af mínum uppáhalds og varð til þess að ég horfði á 28 Days Later… aftur. Shitturinn titturinn hvað sú mynd er geeeeðveik!
Allavega. Ef þið eruð ekki búin að fatta það leiksýrði Danny Boyle Slumdog Millionaire. Myndin er búin að fá þrusudóma og er núna í 35. sæti á IMDb yfir bestu myndir allra tíma. Ég var því mjög spenntur þegar ég fór hana í gær.
Myndin byrjaði og strax á fyrstu mínútunum sá ég að þetta var ekki eitthvað fyrir mig. Óstöðug og hröð myndavél þar sem það passaði ekki inn í fór mest í taugarnar á mér. Indverskar slettur öðru hverju fóru líka í mig, af hverju ekki bara að hafa alla myndina á ensku eða indversku?
Myndin fjallar um mann sem vinnur háa upphæð í indverska Viltu vinna milljón? þættinum. Þar sem hann er “slumdog” er hann grunaður um svindl. Þar sem hann situr á lögreglustöðinni að útskýra mál sitt fær hann “flashbacks” sem útskýrir hvernig hann veit svörin.
Hvernig þessi endurlit voru framkvæmd fílaði ég ekki. Ég fílaði endurlitin, en ekki hvernig þau birtust í myndinni. Fattiði? Þau pössuðu ekki alltaf inn í.
Að lokum var myndin ekkert rosalega skemmtileg. Allir sem ég þekki og höfðu lesið bókina sögðu bókina geðveikt skemmtilega. Ég átti því von á geðveikt skemmtilegri mynd. En sagan eins og hún birtist í myndinni er bara svo… ekkert sérstök.
Leikararnir voru góðir, sérstaklega þau sem léku ung Jamal og Latiku og elsta Jamal.

Þessi bók er algjör skítur. Illa skrifuð vælusaga sem fékk góða gagnrýni af því að hún þótti framandi, frumleg og skemmtileg.
Sori og klisja segi ég nú bara. Fannst þessi bók alltaf minna mig á bækur eins og Flugdrekahlauparann, Bóksalinn í Kabúl, 1000 bjartar sólir og fleiri þannig bókmennti. Þessar bækur snúast nánast allar um það sama. Væl og hvað allir eiga bátt með eitthverju svona “framandi ívafi” sem er svo ekki til staðar – ég mundi ekki einusinni lesa þetta drasl í 118 klst. flugferð kringum hnöttinn.
Hinsvegar fannst mér þessi mynd alveg ágæt miðað við þessa skíta bók. Enda bjóst ég ekki við neinu miðað við bókina.
En ég vissi ekki að það hefði verið þessi GEGGJAÐI leikstjóri. Djöfull er 28 days later geðveik!!!
