Er klárlega best af öllum íslenskum myndum sem gerðar hafa verið. (Og ég hef séð… sem eru reyndar skammarlega fáar…)
Handritið er gott; fyrirsjáanlegt á köflum en kemur þvílíkt á óvart líka. Ég veit varla hvað ég á að segja um leikstjórn, þar sem ég er ekki glöggur í að sjá mark leikstjóra á myndum. Myndin er allavega vel þétt, vinnslan, leikur og allt sem tengist myndinni er það besta sem ég hef séð hingað til. Oftast finnst mér íslenskir leikarar ekki góðir, ég veit ekki hvað það er, en mér finnst þeir alltaf ósannfærandi. Eins og þeim finnist óþægilegt að leika hlutverkið sitt. Leikurinn var framúrskarandi hjá öllum í myndinni, meira að segja Jörundur Ragnarsson (Daníel í Nætur- & Dagvaktinni) var sannfærandi í sínu hlutverki. Baltasar Kormákur og Ingvar Sigurðsson eru með betri leikurum Íslands að mínu mati (ásamt Hilmi Snæ, og jafnframt frægustu kannski). Ég hef ekkert vansagt um þá félaga.
Kjánahrollurinn gerði ekki vart við sig, eins og í Kaldri Slóð þar sem slæmur leikur var allsráðandi. Mér finnst Reykjavík-Rotterdam sýna að Íslendingar eiga heimsklassa kvikmyndagerðarmenn. Við megum vera stolt af þessari mynd.
